December 11th, 2014

Hey dudsons,

Applied Skills today was really interesting, as my teacher invited a person and a homeless person to talk about homelessness.  I learned a lot of things, and I learned what it felt like for homeless people living on the streets.  It was cool to have a chance to hear about the homeless person's experience and struggle throughout his life, and how he coped with it.  Sometimes, they said that they would just want to give up, but with the help of different organizations, they made it through.  Such an inspiring and emotional story.
I can't wait to finish knitting and creating the care packages, so the whole class can donate it as a Christmas special to the homeless.  Now, I just need to hurry up on my knitting.... I didn't even start my third one yet, although I am not the only one.

I got an early dismissal from math today to help sell hot chocolate and donuts for the animal awareness club!  All proceeds are going towards a BC wildlife foundation.  We did pretty good today; we bought six boxes of six donuts, and we sold all of the donuts except for three.  Unfortunately, nobody bought the hot chocolate because we didn't have cups and required other people to use their mugs.  Too bad.  I was eyeing the donuts and was tempted to eat one, but I have braces so I can't eat it. :(  You bet I'll be eating a donut when I get my braces off.

We presented our radio advertisements for English today, and my group's audio sounded like poop compared to the other people.  The others made ours look pretty bad, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  I really liked Matthew's, not because he's brave enough to do a solo, but because it's just plain good.  His voice was made for this.  It sounded so good.  Sorry if that sounded weird, but it does.  I wondered if he autotuned it or something.  I bet he got a pretty good mark.  My group, not excited to see the marks for this project.

I think I'm getting the hang of playing the guitar, but I think my fingers are too small.  I can't even play the 12th/14th fret.  It's impossible.  And playing the guitar makes my fingers hurt.  But I still like playing it.  I had an unexpected quiz today too, but i was so glad that I made no mistakes.  Well, I still like it though.  I don't know how to tune that well, but I'll learn sooner or later, I hope.

There's only three more lessons of square dancing... I don't know whether to be sad or happy.  I guess in between.  I wished it would end later too, because I suck at any other sports.  Square dancing, I'm okay.  I mean, how can you not know how to swing your arms and move your feet.  That's literally it, so it isn't that difficult.

Look at this video, it's so cute!!  (Superblog)
