December 19th, 2014

Hey bubs and dudsons,

Today was the last day of school of the year!  Time for me to sleep in and not do work for the whole entire day.

Ugh, I have a cough and a partial sore throat.  I'm going to miss out on all the Christmas dinners that I'll have, and tomorrow I have a dinner with my dad's friends.  It's not supposed to be good for you too if you eat fried things if you have a cough because it'll aggravate the condition, so I guess I'll just be eating bland stuff tomorrow.  I don't know how I'll stand the people eating tempura and fried chicken and all that junk....even thinking of that makes my stomach gurgle.

On top of the cough, I have this really painful sore in my mouth, due to the braces that I got exactly ten days ago.  I guess it cut my mouth and the cut got a little bit larger over time.  It won't even heal because the braces are always there to cut it and basically in the way of its healing process.  It even hurts when I eat.  Sigh, life is cruel sometimes.

Today, school started as usual at around eight thirty-five in the morning.  However, each class took only thirty minutes, since it's like a little bonus for the last day of school.  Basically, school ended at around twelve-ish, so that's great.  Actually, that's really great, and actually that's superb!

There was a winter assembly to probably celebrate the last day of school before the next year.  Being a grade eight, it was my first time.  It was such a great experience and was really fun, creating a really festive atmosphere.  There was a lot of dancing and music involved too.  I saw my cousin dance, haha.  I can't wait to make fun of her when I see her, (even though she didn't really dance bad. :P)  Anyways, this assembly was a pretty cool ending to the year.  Also, we were doing a food can drive competition with Hamber, and I believe we got 30, 569 cans, compared to 21 thousand something they had.  YES we beat them.  Even then, we raised over fifty-thousand cans together to help poorer families cope with the winter season.  It's all about the amount of cans we donate, not who wins I guess.

After school, I went to Crystal mall to buy groceries with my mom and dad.  While there, I ate a noodle soup from the food court and it was pretty good, even though I think it made me cough more  :(.  I didn't go to Crystal Mall for a long time now, probably for a few years, since I live so far away from there, but it was good to refresh my memory of there.  It's a cool mall; there's so much food!

Well peeps, it's the beginning of the winter holiday and that's always exciting.  I wish you a merry christmas, and a happy new year!  (Who sang to that?)
