Hey dudsons,

The Moveography field trip today was so fun!  I enjoyed taking pictures of the dancers, as well as the beautiful greenery and flowers.  Queen Elizabeth park is such a nice place, especially when it's sunny like today. The Blodel Conservatory was also really nice as I enjoyed observing the different species of tropical birds and plants that they had there.  There was this really funny looking bird that I loved.

Anyways, today was a nice day.  It's too sad that next year I won't be able to participate in Moveography again.

April 28th, 2016

Hey dudsons,

TOMORROW'S THE MOVEOGRAPHY FIELD TRIP!
It's going to be fun since I do like taking pictures.  I deleted a lot of pictures from phone just to make sure I have enough storage to take photos for tomorrow, hehe.  Also, I'm happy because I'm skipping PE.  It's not that I don't like soccer (the sport we are currently doing), but it's just that when we play on the grass, it makes my shoes and socks dirty and wet.  Last class, I had to wear no socks with my other pair of shoes (thank god I always have a spare pair of shoes!) and it felt quite uncomfortable.

Today there was an earthquake drill for the "big one" and it was honestly quite bad compared to the ones I did in elementary school.  In high school, everybody is talking and chatting, while in elementary school, we were not allowed to even make a peep of sound.  Also, it was very organized in my elementary school because each class was lined up orderly in a row, whereas now, people gather in clumps.  There was also bad behavior present.  There was this boy who was chasing his friends with an earthworm that he found.  It was actually disgusting because I saw the earthworm and it looked so slimy and ugh.  So yeah, just saying, earthquake drills in elementary school seem much more professional than in high school.

Anyways, apparently there's eight weeks left before summer break!! EEK!  I'm so excited, but mostly sad.  The school year seemed to past by so fast.  In about three years time I will be graduating and figuring out what I want my career path to be.  I don't want this type of stress and pressure put on me!  I'm still just a kid!  I just want to become a little kid again, with no worries, and curl up to my mommy :)  But sadly, reality is reality, so I must face the truth that I am getting older and will have more and more responsibilitites as the years past by.

Hey dudsons,

I feel like this is really important: to look for the positive side of things during rough times.  It is when one comprehends that there is a rainbow at the end of the tunnel, then the situation starts to get better.
Many people don't think this through and resort to suicide, drugs, or alcohol.  This is not the solution.  It is merely muddling the truth and reality of the situation and making things worse.  Thus, it is important to educate people on this important idea.

Hey dudsons,

I watched this Shakespeare play of Julius Caeser today in the auditorium today. It was actually really confusing for me because of the complex language being used. It was surprising that all the actors and actresses were all high school students because they were really good and professional.  One of the actresses was even from my own school.  However good the show was, I found myself sleepy due to the darkness of the room, but I didn't sleep because that would have been just plain rude.

Anyways, I'm almost done my panama top for textiles! I'm super excited to wear it because the fabric is really soft and comfortable.

Well that's all for today peeps!

Aw it's such a cold day today compared to the sunny days before.

My Chinese school was also holding an art exhibition with art from the graduating art students.  The artwork was really creative and nice.

Hey dudsons,

So today for English, my teacher said that he was going to teach a debate and public speaking class next year.  Unfortunately there are only 22 or 23 people signed up for it, and the class needs 25 students or else it will not run.  Should I do it?  I chose Interior Design for my next year elective.  But I feel like public speaking is something that I definitely need to improve on.  UGH THE STRUGGLES!

Surprisingly, I was never much of a picky eater.  I eat anything.
Funny fact, I like to eat bitter melon even though the majority of the kids I know don't because it's
so bitter, so I guess I'm just weird?

Hey dudsons,

EEK! I went to the Vaisakhi festival after Chinese school and the food was good but then I had a Purdy's chocolate that I didn't know had hazelnuts in it and then my lip and throat got swollen and my heart started hurting.  But don't worry.  It's not life threatening.  It's just uncomfortable and painful.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Don't be greedy and take chocolate.

Get it? It's because the immune system overeacts to a harmless food
(hazelnutsin today's situation).  The immune system OVEREACT thus why in this
drawing the girl says her immune system is so protective, which I don't think
is a good thing, considering I can't eat some things that others can which makes me sad :(

Hey dudsons,

I think Youtube has secret powers that allow it's viewers to watch non-stop.  Today I was just gonna watch one music video and then it turned into more music videos and more and more and more.  I was gonna do my homework but haha that didn't happen.  :)

Today I didn't do much but I did eat dinner at a restaurant with my grandparents.  THE WAIT FOR THE FOOD WAS SO LOOOOOOONG.  No kidding, we actually waited probably for an hour and a little more for chicken to come. The whole restaurant was packed and apparently there were only two chefs in the kitchen.  Ugh.  Should have just went to that Shanghainese noodle restaurant.

Hey dudsons,

Hohoho had my big mid-term test for Chinese test today.  I must admit that it was pretty easy.  However, I did see some people cheating.  Ugh, what losers.  They hid their phone underneath the table and put it in between their legs or something.  It's their loss, because their parents pay so much money for them to learn and they're just lying to themselves if they happen to get a good mark on the test.  It's a waste of time and money for them and they end up knowing nothing.

Next week's this Vaisakhi festival which is really close to my Chinese school, so I can go there after class and eat free food hahaha. It spans from 41st avenue to 70th avenue, as well as Main to Fraser street on either 49th or 41st avenue.  So as you can see, the festival is huge.  I find Indian people to be really generous.  Last time I went, they were giving huge amounts of food, guaranteed you will be full.  And they don't care if you're Indian or not.  They give food to any one.  If only there was a Chinese festival like this where they give out free food....

Hey dudsons,

It was so hot today!  When I was doing orienteering, the sun was shining on me, and it was hard.  My face was so red afterwards.

Anyways, it was report card day today :O.  There was one mistake with my report card but no biggie my teacher fixed it.  I was disappointed that I got a B in PE last term considering my good efforts. Whatever.  Grade 9 marks don't matter in university.

OMG so much stuff to do.  I have to memorize and recite a poem for English, a science unit test, a socials project and so much more.  Sometimes it's frustrating you know.  I can't even imagine what's gonna be ahead of me in later grades if I think this is a lot -_-

Hey dudsons,

I probably already mentioned this but the restaurants in China are really posh and nice.  They also have VIP rooms so it's a room for only one table usually and there's usually a seating area and a private washroom.  The rooms are really nice.  There are some pictures of the dining table and the seating area below.
Also, there's pictures of this really cool pottery studio that I mentioned before and a picture of the products that you could buy from there.  It's really good quality but I didn't buy anything as I had no need for dishes or mugs or whatever.

Look at this huge table!

The seating area is super nice and comfy.

The pottery studio.
Another pic.  The dishes in the bottom right corner are so pretty.

Now that I think of it, I should have bought something -_-

Hey dudsons,

Did nothing today except for a bit of chores and sitting around looking at my phone.  What a waste of a Sunday.

However, I did get to eat out with my dad and brother since my mom went by herself to the gym.  We went to this Hong Kong-styled restaurant and the food was pretty good.  I had this fish noodle soup with beef brisket and lamb slices, accompanied by a cup of Ovaltine.  My brother had the sizzling plate with steak and pork cutlet and a cream of corn soup.  He also had a hot lemon tea.  Finally, my dad had this really delicious plate of pork and chicken cutlet with rice, and also a cup of lemon honey water.  The food was really good!  I think the restaurant is called Firebird and it's in Richmond.  Just search it up if you want.

Hey dudsons,

Hehe successfully completed the first week of school after the spring break!  What an accomplishment :)) It was another beautiful day in Vancouver.  Now you may think that's a good thing, but for me it's not.  I had to do orienteering for PE today and it was hot and made it 1000000 times harder.  I already have a hard time running and the sun makes it even worse.  It would be even better if it was raining a little.

I'm just gonna take a break from posting pictures, so more on that next blog.
