March 31st, 2016

Hey dudsons,

It was such a beautiful day today.  It was about 20 degrees and it's only spring.

Down below are more photos from my trip to China!

China was really fun if not for the first few days that I was sick, but I love going back there to visit my family.  Also, the restaurants there are so nice and so big.  There's this restaurant that I went to called Sea Harbour and I believe that they have six levels.  And not small six levels.  One level is even about the size of my school gym, probably even bigger.  This restaurant actually has a restaurant here in Vancouver with the same name I believe.

This really fun and yummy banana split that my brother ordered.

March 30th, 2016

Hey dudsons,

Another tiresome school day.  Sigh.  I always find it so hard for my eyes to open in the morning and for me to resist the urge to sleep for an extra 20 minutes.  If only school started later, like at 9 o'clock just like elementary schools.  I mean why do little kids deserve more sleep then we do?  I just don't get it.  They probably sleep more then enough already with their early bed times as a result of no homework and projects due.

Anyways, continuing with the photo blogs, here are some more pictures from my trip to China!

This mall is actually one of the nicest malls I've ever been to.  The stores were so unique
and cool.  For example, there was a store that sold beautiful handmade pottery and you could actually
take classes there to learn how to make things.

A picture of three penguin statues at the mall I went to.

WOW look at these totally not fake Star Wars action figures!
(In case you could not tell, these action figures are totally
different than the real things.  I mean why is R2D2 all white?)

A little indoor plaza at the mall.

Hehe me posing with this giant teddy bear
at a restaurant in the mall.

Hey dudsons,

Woo!  Finally a blog post after the break hehe.  I was pretty jet-lagged during the first few days I came back from China.  I went to visit my relatives during spring break for pretty much the whole time.  Be ready for a whole bunch of photo blogs of photos that I took from China!

Hey dudsons,

So today will be a photo blog with my transit adventure photos!  I went with my brother and my friend Isanna.

Going down the stairs at the Oakridge skytrain station

Going up an escalator so we can go on the waterfront bound skytrain

My concession ticket -- sorry if it's a little blurry!

Waiting for the skytrain to come...

On the train :)

Came out at City Centre station

The mall!  Early in the morning with pretty much nobody.

Look at these delicious candy apples! I'm hungry.. are you?

On Robson street.

At the H-Mart food court.

My lunch :)  It was honestly so good.  It was a dried pollack, white radish,
bean sprout and egg soup with rice and kimchi.

This awesome collection of superheros memorabilia at a comic store.

Going back home.

Mission complete!  Bought 8 lotions!

Hey dudsons,

Just realized that there's like 2 more days left until spring break.

My poor dad.  Some bad virus hit him and now he's all cold and has a fever.  Oh, and a cough.  I think men in general have it worse when they have a cold.  Like they moan a lot and complain.  When I have a cold I'm just sick.  I don't scream for attention or anything like that.

Hey dudsons,

Happy international women's day!

Today was a collab day and it felt so good to sleep in.  Even on the weekends I don't really get to sleep in.  On Saturdays, I have Chinese school and I wake up at around eight-thirty.  That's pretty early for me.

Ugh, tomorrow I have this science presentation, so uh, bye!

Hey dudsons,

Tomorrow's a collab day!  Finally!  I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow, hehe.

I was watching a bit of the Bachelor tv show since it was on tv and it's the episode where all the women come back and talk.  OH  MY LORD there's so much drama.  I'm not even sure how someone can stay in that room and be comfortable.  To be honest. this show is dumb.  I would never want to date a man who has 30 other girlfriends.  And even though you put your whole heart into him, he has the ability to flick you away anytime.  Other girls are constantly going in front of you and trying to win your man over.  Like why go through all this pain?  I bet it's just for the money and fame.  I bet the only reason I would go on this show is to mess around with the other girls.

Hey dudsons,

So today I embarked on the transit adventure today with my brother Kevin, who's in Synergy 8, and my other friend in Synergy 9, Isanna.  We went on the Canada Line to City Centre where we roamed around for a little bit before going on the Canada Line again and getting off at the Waterfront station.  Then, we went on the seabus and explored the North Vancouver public market before heading back to Vancouver.  We went to the food court in H-Mart for lunch and the food was DELICIOUS.  That place is a hidden gem in Downtown and I wouldn't have known about it if it were not for my Isanna.  I ate this dried Pollack fish in soup, with bean sprouts, radish, and egg.  The soup was very good and not too salty.  There was also a side of rice and kimchi.  My brother ordered this Japanese beef curry and it smelled heavenly too.  Isanna ordered a pork cutlet rice and it looked delicious as well.  I look forward to eating at this place in the future because you know, there's pretty good food there.  Afterwards, we went back to Pacific Centre and I bought some lotions for my relatives in China from Bath and Body Works.  Then we walked around the mall, and as usual, my brother was really bored and kept moaning for us to go.  Eh.  Typical boys.  When it was around one, we went back on the Canada Line and went back home.

I'm gonna post the pics on my website soon so stay tuned for that.

Anyways, I did more yoga today, heehee.  I love the instructor.  He's always so positive and happy.  I don't know, it's kind of weird how he seems to be stress-free always.  But anyways, I had one poop of a workout today and I look forward to next week's class.  At first I just went because my mom made me.  But, eh, I'm actually enjoying it now.

Hey dudsons,

I was looking back at my old blogs and I discovered that I wrote extremely long blogs.  Woah there. How did I have so much time to write so much.  And I feel like that my English writing skills are deteriorating because we don't even write much for school.  We don't even write much essays or stories.  This actually shocked me, because in elementary school, I expected high school to be essays, essays, and ESSAYS.  We actually do a lot more presentations and talking-related stuff in English than I expected.  I feel like I'm more nervous for presentations in high school than in elementary school.  I don't know why.  Hmmm.....

I'm also applying for this scholarship award at my Chinese school.  I have won it two times before, and I get this fancy certificate and a cheque of fifty dollars :)  I heard this time, the award is the fancy certificate AND a hundred dollars :)

OKAY BYE.

Hey dudsons,

*Make up blog as it was too late when I went home*

OH. MY. GOD.

The district science fair was yesterday and I was so nervous the entire day.  It was around three when I went and there were already a lot of people lining up in the hallway when we (Isanna and I) arrived.  There were about 200 participants.  I took part in this workshop about physics and sports and it was super fun.  I got to play with motion detectors and I got to observe how this really cool wind machine worked.  When it was time to judge, nobody came to our board for a long time until finally this woman came.  She was very nice and seemed to really like our project.  By the time that was finished it was probably around 6:30.  We were supposed to go eat dinner at 6:20.  So we went to the cafeteria to eat.  We didn't know that while we were eating dinner, another judge came by our science fair board display and judged it.  We were supposed to do an oral presentation, but she just had to stick her nose in and judge.  How did we know?  They said dinner started at 6:20.  Ugh.

Anyways, we didn't go through to the Greater Vancouver Regionals.  It was a great learning experience however and I enjoyed it.  I really hope that I get through next year, as this is a great event for young science advocates to cooperate and get to know one and another.

Hey dudsons,

We did orienteering today.  At first it was so fun...that is until we had to run uphill.  I was so tired and my face was as red as a tomato by the time we finished.

UGH
UGH
UGH

I have the district science fair tomorrow.  Haha, I have no script prepared, nothing.  Just gonna wing it.  I hate the fact that it's so long like it starts at three in the afternoon and ends at nine at night.  Like whyyy?? And the fact that it's on a pro-d day makes it worst.  I would have spent tomorrow working on that transit adventure project for Applied Skills, but NO it just had to be tomorrow.

My eye is itchy, bye.

Hey dudsons,

Applied Skills was really fun today as we made these trees made out of wire and beads that are going to be hung up on wire fences around my neighborhood.  I think it's a really interesting project and I love the idea of doing class projects to help make the neighborhood we live in more beautiful.

We had a fire drill in the last block.  It was so cold outside and since there was something wrong with the fire alarms, we had to go outside a second time!  Ugh, I was missing out on valuable sewing time.

I don't even know how, but I managed to go on the weird side of Youtube.  I watched videos of people getting free samples from companies and I was astonished by the amount of samples they managed to get.  Some companies were really cheap while some were very generous and gave out good sized samples.  Haha, I'll do that in the future when I have spare time.

Math test tomorrow, ugh :/

On a happier note, there's about ten days left until spring break :)

Hey dudsons,

Haha no I didn't get into the badminton team.  Well it would be too hard anyways since there are like 30 girls and only 8 are accepted.  Also, I've never been professionally taught how to play, whereas there are many people trying out that actually know everything about badminton.  Anyways, I 'll still try next year.  Trying won't hurt.

We had to run the Langara today! :(  It was pouring, cold, and windy.  My hands and arms were literally red, itchy, and a little bit painful because the wind.   But luckily, I didn't do that bad as I beat my old time.  I got 15 minutes and 9 seconds today.  Something else that was good was that I didn't really get any cramps while I was running.  Something funny was that there was this big dog, and since I was running, it thought that I was playing with it.  So it started chasing me -_-  It didn't even have a leash on, I think.  But luckily, I was ran away and escaped.

And if you didn't notice, I changed the template of my blog and the font.  I think it looks pretty nice now, hehe.
