Hey dudsons,

I remember when I was in grade four or five, I saw this really cute squirrel in a tree at my old school.  I wanted to feed it, but it wouldn't come down, so I found an acorn and threw it up there.  Unfortunately, it hit the squirrel in the face and it bared its teeth at me.  I was so scared that I ran away.  To this day, I am still scared that that squirrel might come back and plot revenge.  :)

Hey dudsons,

I walked around the Olympic Village today with my family, and we ended up eating Craft Beer Market.  It's just a name, it's not a market but a restaurant.  The restaurant itself is pretty cool, as it has that rustic feeling and there over a hundred options of beer (even though I don't drink beer).  The food is good too.

(I did not take this picture)

Hey dudsons,

An update on observing crows:

I actually saw seagulls today cawing or whatever they do today.  No crows, but I did think I found a nest near my house.

Hilarious

Hey dudsons,

The third floor of my school is always so hot.  Even my friend said that when she went up there with me to my locker, it feels really hot compared to the second floor.  My art classroom is really warm too, even with the windows open.

Anyways, today was just a normal day.  Well for applied skills, I watched some oral presentations on some geniuses, such as Anne Sullivan and Haydn, the composer.  I really liked some of their costumes, and it was interesting hear the many different stories of famous people.  For example, I have no idea that Haydn had taught Mozart, and that Anne Sullivan was partially-blind.  Yeah so I learned a lot of new things today too.

We started painting in art, and I think I enjoy it.  It's messy though, and we didn't get proper painting paper, so that part sucked.

Hey dudsons,

So today was a normal day at school.

UPDATE!

I saw a crow on my neighbour's garage's roof.  It was croaking, not cawing.  It was pretty weird.  It was the first time I saw a crow do that.

So back to me again.  I had a cramp throughout the beginning of PE and it was pretty bad.  It was under my heart, near my stomach/liver.  But for some reason, once I started doing crunches, it felt better.

Hey dudsons,

So today was a relatively nice Sunday.  I went out for dim sum with my family and we ordered a lot of food, so much that we had left-overs.  I liked the beef stirfry with flat noodles, which was not too oily or salty.

After that, we went grocery shopping at Yaohan and Empire supermarket .

And then we went home.  Yeah, that's basically my day.

Bye guys.

Hey dudsons,

I realized I didn't blog much about my crow observing, so here goes.  I didn't see much crows in my backyard, actually.  I saw one which was top of my neighbor's patio.  It kind of stomped around and cawed before flying away.  I don't know what that action meant, but it was cool to see the bird do that.

On the other hand, I saw some seagulls instead of crows.  They were never close to my house, but on top of my neighbor's roof, across the alley.  There were two seagulls on top cawing (or whatever they do) very loud.  I saw them scaring off another seagull.  Perhaps they were mating?

Hey dudsons,

Today was a rather peaceful day.  The sun was shining, but it was not overly hot.

It started off the usual Chinese school.  I really hate these kids disrupting the whole class whom sit in the back.  They're not learning anything, and just being annoying.  Just because they're older than the rest of the class (probably grade 9 or 10), doesn't mean they're the boss.

Anyways, I went back home after that obviously.  The weather was actually pretty cold in the morning, and I despised myself for not grabbing that extra sweater.

I went out for dinner with my family at Copa, a Hong-Kong styled restaurant.  I had this red curry seafood rice, and it was okay.  My brother got this really awesome seafood cream sauce rice, and that was really good.  I wished that I got that.  I also liked my grandma's meal, as it was plain curry with chicken plus rice.  The curry was spicy, yet not too spicy, and the chicken was also tasty.

After dinner, we went out for a walk at Queen Elizabeth Park.  The view was quite impressive, and I find that every time I go there, I never get bored of the view.  I found this mini wedding chapel in the park and it was so cute and quaint.  I can imagine a nice simple wedding going on in there.  Hopefully, in the future, I will be able to attend someone's wedding there.

Hey dudsons,

The Carnival was really awesome.  Prior to the event, I planned to only stay for one hour because I thought that it wasn't going to be that fun.  But, I actually stayed the whole time.  I really liked that one bouncy thing where you had to jump or you'll fall.  I went on 4 times, and out of those 4 times, 2 times I fell and it hurt.  My glasses even fell off.  So basically my neck hurts right now.

It was funny watching people getting dunked in the dunk tank.  I actually wanted to go in there, since it was so hot.  Anyways, I didn't actually go the tables on Heather street, because I was having fun on the field.  There was also this bouncy obstacle course that you can compete with your friend, and that was also fun.  My friends and I also used the playground parachute ( I think that is what it is called), and it reminded me of when I was little and I loved playing with the parachute.

I can't wait for next year's carnival!!

Hey dudsons,

Tomorrow's the Spring Carnival!  I remember when I was still in elementary school, I would look at the big bouncy house during recess, and wonder what that is all about.  I guess I get to try for myself this year.  I'll blog tomorrow (maybe) about it.

Hey dudsons,

I wrote another poem for English that I also want to share with you guys:

Where I’m From
I am from love, which is like a rose, so beautiful, yet everyone wants it in spite of its thorns.
I am from the quiet neighborhood in the busy city; there are almost no towering skyscrapers seen from where I sleep.
I am from dandelions, their seeds floating in the air, the wind sweeping them away, far from their home.
I am from summer barbeques and getting dressed up for special occasions, from Ivan and Git, whom are like the ends of tunnels, opening up a whole world of wonders for me.
I am from TV after dinner and washing the dishes.
From “Be nice to your brother!” to “I promise” and advice that I always can trust.
I am from “you’ll understand when you’re older” and pray in times of despair.
I’m from Canada, South Africa and China.
From “hello” to “goon-ja-ni” to “ni-hao”.
Vegetable stir-fry and tofu, chopsticks and woks.
From the burn that left a scar on my thigh, the annual trips to PNE, and my mother’s reassuring arms that open whenever I need comfort and consolation.
I am from the stacks of photo albums in the living room cabinet, filled with good memories from my early years, which we never seem to have time to sit down and look at.
I am from fun; my old toys are all packed up in plastic Rubbermaid boxes, like they’re ready to be shipped out like cargo, in the crawlspace, a scary and dark place if you will.
I am from love, a dangerous drug that I’ll always be addicted to.

Hey dudsons,

Happy Victoria Day!  Do we even celebrate this holiday?  I don't know, but all I know is that I get to sleep in and have a day off school, so yay!

Here's a poem I wrote for English:

I am a peacock,
I strut around like I am the king.
I do not care what the others say.
To me, they are all like unworthy peasants,
An exemplification of contemptible cowardice.
I simply spread my tail out,
And they will gaze in admiration,
Like they are looking at the world’s most exquisite treasure.
I hypnotize them as they stare;
My tail is like fireworks, an explosion of blue and green,
It almost looks like an ocean full of…..eyes.
My tail is like an intricately-patterned fan,
The cobalt blue eyes sprinkled all over,
Never blinking as they help search for my next soulmate,
A drab and lacklustre washcloth compared to me.
I’m the most desired, the most venerated,
For I am a peacock and nothing more.

Hey dudsons,

So today I basically did nothing.  I went out with my family, and bought groceries.

Ok, so school is almost ending and I really just can't believe how fast the year passed by.  One year down, four more to go.  And then university or college or whatever.  As one of my fellow Synergy classmates says, "Stresss".  Yep, that's stress.  In four years, which sounds like a long period time but it isn't, I have to look at different colleges and stuff like that.  But for now, I'll just relax.

Hey dudsons,

I don't know why, but today I searched up the details of the Ariel Castro's kidnappings.  it really scared me.  I was mad that my brother left me in the basement, because I was scared because of the story.  I just can't imagine a person that...evil.

Hey dudsons,

So today was more like a family day.  After swimming, we went out to eat together Ho Yuen Kee, a HK-styled restaurant.  I shared a Buddha's Feast chow mein, congee, and Chinese fried doughnut.  Then we had some other activities as well.  Well this was basically our day.

Here's a poem I want to share with you people:

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

Hey dudsons,

So let's talk about yesterday.  Firstly, I went to Chinese school in the morning as per usual.  However, in the evening we went to eat out at Seasons in the Park located in Queen Elizabeth Park.  The view was really good and I think that was one of the best things about this restaurant.
Anyways, I ordered the Seafood Linguine Carbonara and it was really filling.  I liked it very much. After dinner, we went out and went for a stroll in the park.  It wasn't that hot or that cold, so it was the perfect weather.
